Living abroad shouldn’t make it hard to find books in Spanish
Share the books you’ve already read, discover new stories, and connect with others — all in Spanish
Starting with Spanish more languages coming soon
And many more stories waiting to be shared
What is Mundoswap?
Mundoswap is a community-driven platform where you can exchange Spanish books you’ve already read for new stories. It started with a simple problem: living abroad often makes it difficult to find books in your own language — while at the same time not knowing what to do with all those books you eagerly bought when visiting your home country. Instead of letting them sit untouched on a shelf, Mundoswap makes it easy to share and exchange the books you’ve already read — giving them a second life by passing them from reader to reader. So you can discover new stories without needing to bring back a suitcase full of books every time you travel. More than just an exchange, it’s a way to connect with others through a shared language. Through books, people come together to share stories, discover new reads, and build a community — both online and through in-person meetups where we exchange books and connect in real life. We’re starting with the Spanish-speaking community — more languages coming soon. A sense of belonging, wherever you are.
How it works
Books don’t stay on shelves — they move from reader to reader.
Share the books you’ve already read and put them back into circulation. Be part of a shared library where stories travel within the community.

More than books — a community
Mundoswap is more than just exchanging books. It’s a community where you can connect with people in your city who share your language and your love for reading. Through meetups and shared stories, books bring us together — in real life.
FAQ
A few things you might be wondering
Can I buy or sell books on Mundoswap?
No — Mundoswap isn't a Marketplace, it is about putting books back into circulation, like a community library. It’s a way to share stories and keep them moving from one reader to another.
Do I have to exchange book for book?
Not necessarily — Mundoswap is based on sharing, not strict one-to-one exchanges. You might give a book today and not find one you want to read until another day. The idea is to keep books in circulation and trust the community.
Will I get my book back?
Usually not — books on Mundoswap are meant to keep moving. When you share a book, you’re passing it on to someone else so it can continue its journey. However, if you’d like your book back, you can always agree on it with the person you’re exchanging with.
How do I exchange a book?
You can exchange books during events or by connecting directly with someone from the community.
What should I do with the book once I finish reading it? Do I have to return it?
Yes — once you finish a book, you’re expected to put it back into circulation so someone else can enjoy it too. Mundoswap works because everyone shares.
Do I need to attend events to participate?
No — events are a great way to meet people, but you can also exchange books independently within the community.
